Sneaker making course – Summer class

Learn the art of making sneakers starting from understanding materials, components and constructions to learning about pattern making to finally develop and complete your own pair of Sutor S, one of Arsutoria School sneaker style.

We have created a dedicated summer session for sneaker heads and newcomers who are passionate about sneakers that want to understand how this product is technically built up. Two weeks fully dedicated to the sneaker world and with a hands-on approach on sample making, a fascinating journey within a style that, at this point, has become a category of product on itself.

Key features of the sneaker making course

  • Learning the secrets of Sneakers: a solid basis on how sneakers are technically developed. A deep dive into materials, components and constructions. An online 15 h.s preparation coursework to absorb all main aspects of sneakers PRIOR to walking into the classroom/sample room so to make the most of the 2 weeks in Milan.
  • Learning of the Sutor S Design: a leather made sneaker, cemented (board-lasted) with a rubber sole. Pattern Making learning to understand the intricacies of the cemented construction.
  • Sneaker Making: Master the process of sample making: students will complete the program by developing their own pair of sneakers (Sutor S) with the support of Sample room technicians, they will learn the processes of stitching, lasting and soling.
