What you’ll learn
The Bag making course aims at providing a first hands-on experience of the bag world. An amazing introductory journey of 5 weeks for designers and newcomers to the bag world.
For those who wish to understand main bag construction categories to make a sample by the end of the course. The perfect opportunity to taste this world to possibly decide whether to become a professional of this driving force of the luxury fashion industry.
During multiple session of this 5-week journey, we take the student through the discovery of the sample making process of a bag.
We discover together how a style is born and how a sample is made, find out the “behind the scenes” of this prominent category of product of the luxury industry.
The course will focus on the understanding of the different existing constructions, the finishings, edge finishings, assembling techniques and main reinforcements used (different kinds of microfibers and fabrics).
Master the process of sample making: students will complete the program by developing samples by learning the processes of leather cutting, gluing, assembling, stitching, polishing and finishing with the support of Sample room technicians. Our sample room is fully equipped with all machineries needed to develop all kinds of bags.
