The bag is a complex set of components, each of which contributes decisively to its aesthetic quality and functionality. The perfection of a bag comes from a long and highly specialized work.

First of all, from the excellence of a technical model and from the sensitivity and refinement of the pattern maker who, knowing the secrets of design and construction of the bag, can read and interpret the style and propose solutions to the creative ideas of the designers. Isn’t this, perhaps, also creativity?
The Arsutoria School Technical approach is based on the school proprietary pattern making techniques and along the years it has been enriched with sample room activities and 2D skills acquisition.
We have enriched and renewed the course of bag pattern making and prototyping, expanding it to 15 weeks in order to equip you with a solid technical and design culture of this accessory, which will allow you to enter the world of production or to relate with the factories with technical and professional qualities of excellence.
The theoretical knowledge of manufacturing, construction and of the process of making an accessory – in addition to the constant practice in the internal sample room of the School, equipped with all the basic equipment for sewing and assembling bags – will allow you to test the technical skills you have acquired, providing you with valuable evaluation elements on the feasibility of the models you have designed and allowing you to recognize, since the design, the critical issues that you may encounter during production and, thus, to avoid them.
Most of the work takes place between the classroom and the sample room, between paper, cardboard, microfiber, leather and fabrics. Hours dedicated to drawing, cutting and measuring but also to sketching, preparing and sewing.
Without forgetting that today’s technology allows us to reduce time and improve precision: for this reason we decided to add a substantial amount of hours dedicated to learning the use of CAD 2D.
