A deep dive into the world of pattern engineering complemented by the experience of the manufacturing environment; the sample making weeks clearly show if the patterns have been developed properly.

With this course path you will add 3D engineering skills to the Shoe design path.

5 weeks

Work in a real shoe sample room together with Arsutoria school lab technicians and learn how to actually manage all the different steps of shoe manufacturing: cutting, preparation, stitching, lasting and soling; a complete journey through mocassin, ballerina, derby, sandal, laced up sneaker with sidewall stitching, knitted sneaker with foamed outsole and running style.

4 weeks

Learn Illustrator, Photoshop and VizCom AI to design shoes empowered by a deep knowledge of shoe proportions, fitting, materials and constructions; create renders that stand out to present your ideas.

5 weeks

Learn industry 3D tools to digitize shoe lasts and make modifications to last proportions; prepare technically precise 3D digital projects of shoe soles with an advanced training on the use of Rhino taught by industry leaders. 

10 weeks

Learn how to make patterns of shoes: women, men and sneaker; the working method developed by Arsutoria School has helped a countless number of shoe technicians to shape the ideas of designers in different product categories such as luxury, athletic, safety, outdoor

Learn how to design a collection of shoes: articulate a merchandising plan based on market analysis and consumer profile, get inspired by international trends, create an effective presentation with a clear understanding of how to create a strong identity for your product design

Learn the fundamentals of engineering of lasts and then the working methodology of Arsutoria School for pattern making; plus deep dive into design and engineering of soles.

With this course bundle you will master Shoe Sketching and collection development, then will have the opportunity to learn Shoe Making in a real sample room.

10 weeks

With this course bundle you learn two set of skills that are strongly connected: first master how to express your ideas with an image that stands out coming from a shoe sketch secondly learn how to articulate an entire line of shoes from market analysis, product positioning and trend research.

Shoe Design and Collection Development

In 10 weeks, learn how to design a complete footwear collection.

  • Develop shoe designs using hand sketching, Photoshop, Illustrator and AI tools, exploring pumps, derby, moccasins, boots and sneakers.
  • Then focus on collection development, defining target market, brand positioning and storytelling
