This 4-week course can be taken separately or in conjunction with the 12-week pattern making course (and then being discounted to € 2.700,00). We highly recommend taking the entire path of 16 weeks to those who wish to work as footwear designers or launch their own brand. On top of the 2 weeks dedicated to hand sketching and digital design with Photoshop and Illustrator, students will learn processes of collection development: from market analysis to the application of the important activities of merchandising.

Overall objective of the course is to immerse participants in the process of creative development of a collection of footwear, focus their creative ideas and present them through a good level of sketching.

N’Dia has a background in both Fashion Design (from Clark Atlanta University) and Fashion Business (from FIT) as well as a retail experience at Barneys, NY and Nordstrom. She came at Arsutoria with the intention to develop a professional portfolio to enter a footwear design position and eventually start her own luxury women’s footwear line in the near future.

Guglielmo found his passion in footwear design through his graphic design studies. Soon after having completed the course at ARSUTORIA he has spent some time in the USA, as part of this further education at Pensole, developing designs for a lifestyle shoe for spring/summer 2018 and a performance shoe for spring/summer 2020 for New Balance and then an athleisure shoe for spring 2018 and a new Wacom Bamboo Slate for Vibram. Currently he has been accepted for an internship at Puma in Germany.

After having followed her family footsteps by studying Economy and Management of Cultural Heritage, Benedetta felt the need to be true to herself and devoted all of her energies to pursue a career in footwear,  distinctly marking all of her passions through design and style. Benedetta also puts a lot of attention on innovation through new materials and has launched the 1st collection with her own brand for the S/S of 2017. We wish her a successful career!
