The perfection of a bag comes from a long and highly specialized work.
First of all, from the excellence of a technical model and from the sensitivity and refinement of the pattern maker who, knowing the secrets of design and construction of the bag, can read and interpret the style and propose solutions to the creative ideas of the designers.
Isn’t this, perhaps, also creativity?
We suggest the bag technical path to:
- PATTERN MAKERS who aspire to become a pattern maker within a leather goods company
- DESIGNERS who want to understand how the technical side of bag design works, and competently follow the development of their design project in the factory
- FACTORY OWNERS The new generation of owners of bag companies, fresh from economic or marketing studies, to begin a profitable and competent dialogue with the production reality they will have to manage
- NEWCOMERS Those interested in the world of bags, the “makers” who want to enter the sector by opening their own laboratory activity
This intensive study program lays the groundwork to tackle the following professional careers:
The Bag technical path will teach you how to make the most common styles of bags:
We have enriched and renewed the course of bag pattern making and prototyping, expanding it to 15 weeks in order to equip you with a solid technical and design culture of this accessory, which will allow you to enter the world of production or to relate with the factories with technical and professional qualities of excellence.
The theoretical knowledge of manufacturing, construction and of the process of making an accessory – in addition to the constant practice in the internal sample room of the School, equipped with all the basic equipment for hemming and assembling bags – will allow you to test the technical skills you have acquired, providing you with valuable evaluation elements on the feasibility of the models you have designed and allowing you to recognize, since the design, the critical issues that you may encounter during production and, thus, to avoid them.
Most of the work takes place between the classroom and the sample room, between paper, cardboard, microfiber, leather and fabrics. Hours dedicated to drawing, cutting and measuring but also to sketching, preparing and sewing.
Without forgetting that today’s technology allows us to reduce time and improve precision: for this reason we decided to add a few hours dedicated to learning the use of one of the most popular software in the field of bags for the technical design of models: COMELZ CAD.
And as in all self-respecting courses at the end of the 15 weeks there is a challenging exam, precisely because the Arsutoria technical diploma must be earned, demonstrating that you have acquired the skills that our teachers will transmit to you.
